The post-Putin era
When this long and grim chapter of history ends for this dictator, the entire Putinist ideology will crumble, because the exhaustion of this system has now erased its initial triumph.

Putin must deal with Europe now, not with America
The Kremlin is now quite openly declaring itself ready for talks with Europe, as Donald Trump is no longer in a position to force a surrender on Kyiv, whilst the EU has just released a €90 billion loan to Ukraine.

One century, four powers
In the aftermath of the First World War, we knew that the United States would dominate the 20th century because it had just asserted its pre-eminence over the two superpowers of the time, France and Great Britain. It was clear, indisputable and undisputed, but what about today?

The Five Dangers of an Iranian Defeat
As incongruous as it may seem, let’s ask ourselves the question. Whose defeat should we hope for? That of the Iranian regime or that of Donald Trump?

Don’t bet on Trump
Donald Trump could win. We cannot rule out the possibility that he could end up forcing Ukraine to surrender and agreeing with Vladimir Putin to divide Europe into zones of influence, but it is still only a possibility and not fact.

Russia, US, EU, Ukraine: Who wants, fears and rejects what?
There are four parties in this war, but only two sides. Ukrainians, Russians, Americans and Europeans each have their own objectives and red lines, but the convergence of Russian and American ambitions is further consolidating the bloc formed by the European Union and Ukraine.

Europe needs political leadership
This American “peace plan” calls on us Europeans to abandon the idea that the United States will always be our ally and to equip ourselves with political leadership that is not limited to the Union.

Donald Trump short of allies
With his back against the wall, he has regained his memory. Confronted with China, which forced him to back down on tariffs by threatening to ban exports of rare earth elements to the United States, Donald Trump suddenly remembered that he had allies who were once referred to as “Western.”

If I were him, I would be worried
The red lights are going off in the Kremlin. Once supported by military orders, Russia's economic growth is now slowing down and seems set to reach zero. Consumer prices, meanwhile, continue to rise. Fears of inflation are keeping interest rates above 20%, a level that is obviously detrimental to investment, but that is not the most serious problem for Vladimir…

Europe is already much more than just a market
When we see that we are still debating whether or not to shoot down Russian aircraft that enter our airspace, when a European summit ends without a clear warning being issued to Moscow and without any strong words being spoken, how can we not conclude that we are far too divided and timid to defend ourselves?
